They do that sometimes, because even though John belongs to Harold, sometimes things like this are unavoidable- John is an attractive man after all, and this is one of the weapons in his arsenal. Back at the safe house, Harold reasserts his ownership. Not that he would ever need to, but he likes to be sure. And John definitely appreciates it.
