It would always be the same. He’d fall asleep on her couch, and when she woke up, there would be one lukewarm cup of coffee left on the table, and it’d have exactly two pinches of cinnamon on top of it. Seldom would she ever find him in her kitchen before she went to work, but he’d leave first.
