Shadow Dragon Week is a prompt week to celebrate the Shadow Dragon faction in the Dragon Age games.

The main event is hosted on the Shadow Dragon Week Tumblr page.

How does this work?
Prompts are provided on the event Tumblr, and fans are encouraged to make and submit works related to those prompts, and the event blog then reblogs the works to celebrate the faction.

Do I have to follow the prompts?
No. While we encourage connecting your fanworks to the prompts for each day, the prompts are optional and simply provided to help inspire creativity. So long as the submitted works relate to the Shadow Dragons in some way, you're good.

What kinds of fanworks are accepted?
Any and all types of human-created fanworks are accepted. For the purposes of this collection, they must abide by AO3 guidelines as well.

Are late submissions allowed?
Yes, you can continue to submit works even after the event is over.

Can I include OCs or non-Shadow Dragon characters?
Of course! Shadow Dragon OCs are more than welcome. If you're including non-Shadow Dragon characters, please make sure the fanwork still features the Shadow Dragons in some notable capacity.

What if I made something last year that I think fits this year's event? Or if I didn't have time to finish my contribution?
We do accept old fanworks as long as they are related to the event, and there is no need for fanworks to be complete. We do ask, though, that if you've submitted a work for a previous year's Shadow Dragon Week, that you not submit it again.

1. All AO3 rules apply to this collection. This includes rules related to harassment (short version: DON'T).

2. This event is intended to celebrate human creativity. We accept all skill-levels, but we do not accept AI-generated works or plagiarism.

3. Make sure any NSFW and dark themes are properly tagged.
