“We can keep warm,” Langa mumbles, heat rising up to his cheeks as he remembers, unbidden, the insinuation that Joe had made when he’d first heard that they were going to Hokkaido for a school trip.

“Yeah, just….” Langa looked down and became very interested in the wood grain on the bar. “I need some advice.”
“Okay…what’s going on?”

Langa's subconscious is causing him nightly problems concerning Reki. He absolutely cannot talk to his mom about them, so he asks Joe instead.

“Right,” said Reki, staring straight ahead and squinting a little like he was concentrating deeply. After a few moments of silence, he shook his head like he was clearing it and asked, “Have you ever dated someone?”
“No.”
“Okay, well, have you ever... liked anyone?”
