Summary
Instead of seeing Eli’s head peek over the top of the mech’s seat, instead of seeing him do literally anything to save himself, Twist watched as Eli settled back against his jaguar and stared at the cavern ceiling. Dude didn’t so much as jump when his legs almost got taken off by an errant boulder.
“No way.”
The words were punched out of him—no filter to hold him back.
“There’s no way.”
