Who can participate?
Anyone with an A03 account!What kind of fanwork can I prompt or create?
Anything goes. Fic, art, vids, mixes, moodboards, etc. Whatever inspires you.What content is allowed?
Any character, ship, rating, or archive warning. AUs and crossovers welcome.What kind of prompts can I make?
You will be given the option to create up to 15 prompts, specifying things like characters, relationships, and a description of what you want to see. You can be as specific and detailed or open and general as you like. You can name multiple characters or ships you would like to see the prompt about, or leave it entirely to the creator. You can suggest formats, but a creator might choose a different one.Prompters will be anonymous until January 1.
How do I prompt?
Click on "Profile" from the menu on the left, and then "Sign up." You will be given the option to create up to 15 prompts, specifying things like characters, relationships, and a description of what you want to see. You can be as specific and detailed or open and general as you like. Feel to prompt even if you don't plan to create!How do I claim a prompt?
Click on "Prompts" from the menu on the left. You'll see all the prompts everyone has submitted! Just click "claim" next to the one (or ones) you want to claim your prompt. If you change your mind, go back to "Prompts" and click "drop claim."If I claim a prompt, does it mean that no one else can?
Nope--prompts can be claimed multiple times! There can be so many different interpretations. Plus, you can claim multiple prompts.How do I post my fanwork once it's done?
Go back to the prompt you claimed and click on "fulfill," which will take you to the Post New Work page with the challenge and prompt already filled in.What if the fanwork I end up making isn't quite the same as the original prompt?
That's fine--because this isn't a gift exchange, taking inspiration in new directions is allowed. You might want to add a note to the fanwork so the prompter and others looking for it isn't surprised by the difference, though.You also may choose to instead claim a general catch all prompt and fulfill that one instead.
When can I post my fanwork?
Whenever it's ready! Submitted fanworks will go live on January 1 at midnight ET (Indiana time), and the collection will remain open for fills after.

Fanwork minimums:
Fic: 500 words
Podfic: 500 word story
Art: Sketch on unlined paper
Mixes: Five songs
Other: Your best judgement! Ask the mod if you want to discuss.
Schedule:
The fest will open for prompts on November 13, and stay open through December 20, 11:59 ET (Indiana time).Claims will begin on November 20.
Fanworks and creators will be revealed on December 21, the winter solstice.
The collection will remain open for fills, so stories will continue to be published after December 21.
