Summary
In the wake of the World Championships the previous year, where Lan Zhan had won silver to Wei Ying’s bronze, Wei Ying sees a video he isn’t supposed to see. It shouldn’t be a big deal—Wei Ying is the least judgmental person he knows. But now Lan Zhan is avoiding him. Even though they’ve been on the national team together for literally half their lives and there couldn’t be secrets after that, right?
So naturally, Wei Ying has to get to the bottom of this. Sometimes with a little help from his friends. And sometimes, or maybe more than sometimes, through ice dance.

Summary
There is a strange air of mystery around Mo Xuanyu, and no wonder: nobody knows where Mo Xuanyu comes from. All they know is that he is purportedly a chess genius, a rival to rival all rivals, but Lan Zhan knows there has only ever been one man who could truly rival him. Not even a man—a boy. Lan Zhan himself had been a boy at the time, barely seventeen. Wei Ying had been a bright spark, a flash of light in the dark. Their rivalry was the talk of the chess world. They would sit across from one another at tournaments, Wei Ying's cocky grin insufferable under the bright lights of the ballroom, his voice mocking: "What, Lan-er-gege, can't think of a countermove?"
It's against the rules to talk. That had never stopped Wei Ying.
Trebuchet: whoever has the move, loses

Wei Wuxian had a to-do list for the Olympics. Item one was obviously medal, preferably win gold. Item two was a hockey player. He had needs, after all.
