“Hey, don’t worry! I’ve almost finished ‘em off!” Blitzø assured him.

Blitzø nuzzled their foreheads. “I will. This isn’t really goodbye, Stolas, it’s just a ‘see you around’. You’ll see, with me on the front lines this war will be over before you know it.”
“I wish I had your confidence,” Stolas muttered.
“Well, I have enough for the both of us, hmm? Now, I came here for my farewell kiss. You gonna give that to me, your highness?” Blitzø asked, wriggling his eyebrows. “Give me something else to remember while I’m gone?”

Stolas shifted, turning to press the side of his head against Blitzø’s chest, sliding an arm around Blitzø’s waist. “Your heart is beating so fast, darling,” he commented, voice soft, “something on your mind?”
