Intro:
Dates:
October-December 24: Prompts are open! Come one, come all!
December 25: Collection closes, final edits are due!
December 26: Reveals! Works go live, anonymously.
January 1: Author reveals! This is when you can share your works on Tumblr, etc.
A few notes:
This event is the idea of and run by one person, lemon-verbena, so if there's any issues, please be patient!
The prompts owe a debt of gratitude to the tumblr posts found under the search "holiday prompts" for their interest and diversity. Prompts were selected from many posts, and combined with original and Strike-themed prompts to provide participants with a variety of choices.

FAQ:
Q: How long does my fic need to be?
A: Not long at all! Anywhere from 500 to 2,000 words is perfect for this Fest. You're welcome to write longer, but all works should be complete by Dec 25, when posting closes.Q: Does my fic need to be Christmas themed?
A: No, not at all! It can be, but it can also just be inspired by the prompt, and take place in any time period or season.Q: Does my fic have to be about any specific characters?
A: No, any and all characters from the Cormoran Strike stories are welcome! You can write about everyone's favorite PIs, or recurring characters, or one-off characters from one of the stories. They're all fair game! In fact, picking more minor characters is encouraged. We could all use more stories featuring some of the wonderful minor characters that populate the world of Strike, couldn't we?Q: Can I claim more than one prompt at a time?
A: As always, you can, but it's rude to claim too many at once. Better to claim one or two, fulfill them, then move on to the next. Prompts can be filled more than once, so you won't miss out on them!Q: If I'm inspired by a prompt that's already been claimed, can I still write something for it?
A: Please do! No two authors will approach a prompt the same way, so don't feel like you're going to get repetitive. Remember, two cakes!Q: I'm so excited about what I wrote! Can I share my work before it's revealed here?
A: You can, there's nothing stopping you, but part of the fun of the collection is the anonymous period before author reveals, and if you share your work before then, it's not as fun. If you simply must share before reveals, please consider withdrawing your work from the collection and sharing it on your own!Q: What if my question isn't answered here?
A: Come over to lemon-verbena's tumblr and ask there.
