“I won’t have another dragon’s smell here,” Maul repeated. “I’m sure you know a way to replace it.”
Cody did. He swallowed, glancing back towards Maul’s hindquarters and then back to Maul’s unfaltering eye. Maul was dangerous but Cody was as vulnerable fully clothed and on his feet as he would be naked and under him. And Maul was lonely. Cody could use this. He could convince Maul to trust him like this.
He could get Rex back like this.
Maul was just so damned big.
