(The past is referred to by their given names like lan zhan or Wei ying, the future is by their courtesy name, if I could find it, like Wei wuxian and lan wangji, I couldn’t find nie huaisangs given name!)

As the title suggests, the past looks toward the future. People from bygone days, along with our beloved junior quartet, will witness the truth about their cherished Senior Wei—and uncover the reality of the past itself.
There’s a twist: in this version, Lan Wangji will be the bottom, and Wei Wuxian the top. To fit this dynamic, I’ll be reshaping parts of the original novel. Since the book doesn’t delve deeply into Lan Wangji’s personal relationships or struggles, I’ll be expanding on those aspects and bending the story to my will—because I do enjoy a good dose of suffering Lan Zhan.
⚠️ Warning: This is not your typical character reaction fic. This is my personal remix of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu’s world—where I shamelessly expand on characters, twist events, and adjust the story to fit my narrative. Basically, I’m here to have fun, break a few rules, and give you my version of the chaos.

Summary
After watching his husband; his son; nephew; brother and little radishes dying in front of him one by one because of a source of resentful energy; Wei WuXian dies too as he destroys it.
But instead of darkness; he finds himself back in the past when he had just gotten kicked out of the cloud recess and everything looks so peaceful he can’t stand it. No…no no no he really can’t go through this hell again. Not again. Not after everything was supposed to be over.
Not knowing that Lan WangJi has been thrown back in time as well; he tries; and fails at taking his own life by slitting his throat open in the middle of lotus pier and so; he decides to show everyone the future.
If he’s going to live this hell again; he’s going to change it and if these people are suddenly so determined to keep him alive; then he’s not going to let them die either.It doesn’t matter if they end up hating him just as much as he hates himself.
(Or; another time travel fix-it which happens to be a watching the show fic as well! With our favorite baby boy and his husband; all their ducklings and their very much alive family and friends from the past.)
