Summary
Prince Baelon, heir to the throne, was struck down by a sudden malady that burst within him during a hunt, and in swift succession, King Jaehaerys passed in his bed after years of declining strength. Not long after, King Viserys succumbed to the plague, and in the wake of these nearly simultaneous losses, Daemon Targaryen found himself crowned king, unbidden and unprepared.
Daemon gets to be king, Aemma gets freedom for her womb. Where does that leave Rhea?

Summary
All of her life Rhea Royce has been haunted by dreams and visions of a man with silver hair and purple eyes. He tells her secrets, ways to handle her sword, insults about the current ruling family, and that she is of his blood. She thinks she has been cursed by the Old Gods for a sin of her ancestors. She and her aunt Aemma are sent to Kings Landing to be fostered by the Good Queen.
Six moons after their arrival Rhea has declared Daemon Targaryen her bitter enemy, his mother an insane harpy, the court a den of snakes, and is tired of the mutterings of her ghoul. Journeying to Dragonstone for the King’s nameday Rhea is overjoyed to see her family.
Word comes of the destruction of the boat carrying Yorbert Royce, Rodrik/Alec/ Jon Arryn, and Logan Royce Rhea and Aemma break. Aemma wants to die with her brothers and father. Rhea is haunted by dreams of dragons and flight.
In the dead of night Aemma goes to the Dragonmount determined to die and Rhea follows determined not to lose another person she loves.
Come morning two dragons shall be claimed, a bloodline revealed, and Rhea will finally understand the words her ghoul has been saying for years: fire can not kill a dragon.
