Hence our depression fest. We want glimpses of the real depths of recovery and how much it costs a person. No dead doves though because we are both little being little b—ches at the moment and canny handle e.

Summary
It’s 2000, and Hermione Granger is no longer the Ministry's 'Golden Girl'.
She lives in Sydney, has a job that isn't sucking her soul out, female friends, and Theo Nott as coworker/housemate/fake cousin - because OF COURSE.
She's even got parents who know her (though not as their daughter, but that's OK).
Oh, and she also has Draco Malfoy... Not like that. Obviously. Two years ago, Draco went back into the Leaky Cauldron after his trial instead of disappearing into the rain. Now, they are best friends (they're actually in love).
*smirks, rolls eyes*
This story takes place when Hermione comes back to England for Harry and Ginny’s wedding. Draco is back too - finished with MACUSA, rejected by the British Ministry, and still publicly known as 'the failed Death Eater who got off too lightly'. Once again, I ask - what could possibly go wrong?
*stares in capital-A angst, best friends as plausible deniability, first times, drunk calls, Hozier-level yearning, Draco Malfoy’s anxiety having its own postcode, and a HEA for the idiots in love*

Summary
After defecting to the Order, Draco is forced to live in the room next to Hermione. He makes himself useful, and integrates fine, but things go sideways when he begins overhearing Hermione’s frequent, sexual encounters through their shared wall. What starts as shameful curiosity turns into growing concern as he realizes she’s using sex and pain to numb herself from war trauma.
And he’s decided to help her.

“Why do you cry?” He asks genuinely, “did you know her?” he nods his head in the direction of the woman behind him.
Unable to speak, Hermione only shakes her head.
He stands, looking down at her. “Stupid Mudblood,” she hears the condescending laugh muted behind the metal.

Summary
In a post-war world, the pressure and expectations laid on the shoulders of our favourite Golden Girl have become too heavy to carry alone, but in typical Granger fashion - she refuses to yield. Draco does his best to show that she does not have to do it alone, but will it be enough?

Summary
Draco has some... issues from past traumas, but the man is not working on them.
He needs to learn that pessimism quickly becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
