Welcome to Unit B! This collection contains fanworks created for the Unit B and Cellblock 5 archives, which accepted "any and all Oz fanfiction about any and all Oz characters," including crossover fanfiction between the HBO Oz TV series and other media fandom entities. The collection includes slash, het, and gen stories rated through NC-17.
Unit B is CLOSED to new works.
The import of this archive to the AO3 was approved by the OTW Open Doors Committee on 22 October 2022, and began in April 2026.

This collection contains works originally located at the Unit B and Cellblock 5 archives, which were imported to the Archive of Our Own through the Open Doors Project. The import was prompted by the archives' aging & increasingly defunct software, and the need to find a long-term home for the archives' fanworks. Learn more about the import in the import announcement.
Please note that warnings were optional on the OZ Unit B Fanfiction Archive. In the fanworks in this collection, authors may label for some warnings and not for others at their discretion. Read at your own risk. OZ is a show intended for adult audiences (TV-MA), and fanfiction based on the show frequently contains strong subject matter.

If you still have access to the email you used to post your works to Unit B or Cellblock 5, you should have received an email with the option to claim your works at the time they were imported. If you do not have access to that email account, or did not receive the notification, please contact the moderator at the contact email address listed above.
All unclaimed works are imported as restricted to logged-in AO3 users only, and are made publicly viewable after a 30-day transition period. If you claimed your works before that period ended, you will need to change the restriction setting. If you need assistance, please contact Support.
