So you have a fandom that's absolutely tiny. Here's your chance to convince someone to create for it.

Q: Where will pinch hits be posted?
A: Pinch hits will be posted to the Exchanges After Dark discord server.

Q: Am I guaranteed a gift?
A: No. This is a flash exchange centered around very tiny fandoms. Between how little time there is to create, and how few people may have knowledge of the requested source material, the mod can not guarantee a gift for you.

Q: A fandom I like is typically crossed over with a fandom in the same franchise, but AO3 will count this as a crossover instead of All Media Types. Therefore, it appears to have very few non-crossover works, but it has a lot of crossover works due to cross-tagging. Is it eligible?
A: The mod does not know every fandom out there, nor how how much continuity two fandoms in the same franchise share. Therefore, e will only look at the stats as defined in the rules, and not what fandoms the crossovers are between. Please nominate fandoms in good faith. If you think your fandom is far more popular than it looks due to mis-tagging, don't nominate it.

General

• All participants must be 18+.
• Treats in mediums other than fic or art are allowed! It is highly encouraged to state whether or not you are open for treats.

Nominations

• To be eligible, the fandom must have less than 100 works when filtered to only have complete English-language non-crossover works. Works posted after July 30th, 2024 will not count towards this total.
• Disambiguate your fandoms. For example, nominate Tandri/Viv from Travis Baldtree's Legends & Lattes as "Tandri/Viv (Legends & Lattes)".
• You can nominate 7 fandoms with 10 relationships each. If you would like to nominate a solo character, nominate them as char: Character Name (Fandom Name). For example, nominate Elodie from the 2024 movie Damsel as "char: Elodie (Damsel)". From here forward, solo characters nominated this way will be described as relationships within this ruleset.
• Crossovers are allowed, but all fandoms involved must qualify on their own. For example, you can nominate a crossover between Emily Owens M.D. and Doc Martin, but not between Doc Martin and Call the Midwife. Please write and disambiguate your crossover nominations in alphabetical order, first by fandom name and then by character's surname (or just name in case of mononyms). For example, a crossover relationship could be "Emily Owens (Emily Owens M.D.) & Martin Clunes & Bert Large (Doc Martin)".

Sign-Ups

• You can request up to 10 fandoms with 20 relationships and 2 mediums each, and must request at minimum 1 fandom with 1 relationship and 1 medium.
• You can offer up to 10 fandoms with 20 relationships and 2 mediums each, and must offer at minimum 2 fandoms with 1 relationship and 1 medium each.
• DNW's must be clearly stated on AO3. If your DNW's are contained within a letter, they cannot be enforced. DNW's can not be used to box your creator into a narrow range of things to create.
• You will match on one fandom, one medium, and one relationship or character. Any unmatchable offers will be assigned to a Creator's Choice of Microfandom request of a medium the creator has offered. If there are no applicable Creator's Choice of Microfandom request, then the sign-up will be deleted.

Assignments

• Fanfic must be a minimum of 300 words.
• Fanart must be, at minimum, a clean sketch on unlined paper of a quality you would be happy to receive.
• All assignments, regardless of medium, must fulfill ONE of your recipient’s requests, featuring one medium, one fandom, one relationship, one freeform tag, minding the recipient’s DNW's that have been clearly listed on AO3.
• Use of generative A.I. is strictly prohibited for all mediums, including treats. This does not include use of a spellchecker.
• Fanfics must be kept anonymous until creators are revealed. Artists may sign their work, but must privately host their fanart until creators are revealed.
