Summary
Or, where you are uprooted to, and then, after a year, replanted?
Bilbergia (Bilba) Baggins is back again, and has to deal with the repercussions of her being away from the Shire for a year and a month. Cleaning up after dwarves is nothing new to her anymore, but dealing with the memories that seem to sprout up with every step she takes? Maybe they're the reason she can't get herself to close her front door...
------------------------------
A story in which Bilba, returning to Hobbiton and Bag End, has many flashbacks of her time among the Company of Thorin Oakenshield. (The slowest of slow burning burns.)

Summary
Deep into his gold sickness, the other dwarves have found that the only thing keeping Thorin alive is Belladonna's prompting. In her injured state, it's not like she can do much on her own. She knows that the only reason he's being so affectionate is whatever veil of obsession lays in his eyes, she almost wishes he would stay mad to keep that level of affection.

Modern day AU. Could have been written with different names and posted as an original work. Sweet and cute.

Prompt Request from Agent_Snark: "Bilba is a world renowned concert pianist. During rehearsal one day, she notices the cute stagehand up on the catwalk focusing lights but doesn't pay too much attention until he greets her after the performance that night, flowers in hand and an invitation to dinner at a restaurant a common stagehand shouldn't be able to afford."
I definitely took some liberties with the prompt and took it my own way a bit but the core elements are all still there! :D

Sweet, adorable story. Modern day. Could work just as well with the main characters being named Dave and Phillis, though. Is basically an original work with Hobbit names.

Summary
Princess Bilba Baggins understands the expectations placed upon her. She knows that, upon reaching her majority, she will be expected to enter into an arranged marriage, one that will most benefit the future stability and security of the Shire. She understands this, though it saddens her to think she will have to leave the Shire, possibly forever, when this day arrives. Still, it is her duty and obligation as a Princess and, to that end, she will accept it.
Or, at least that's how she felt until the day she went walking and met Hobbiton's new blacksmith.

Summary
Bilba Baggins is a bit shy. Okay, she's a LOT shy and when Gandalf shows up and dumps an entire Company of dwarves on her she is decidedly NOT amused.......or capable of speaking to them.....particularly the dark haired one who happens to be a PRINCE.
Thanks for that heads up, Gandalf.
All she can think is Kili should have a warning sign on him. It could say something like:
"Caution: Exposure to KILI could result in side effects including but not limited to -
- Incoherent speech
- Inability to speak at all
- Increased clumsiness
- Decrease in brain function
In a few cases more serious side effects have been reported including, but not limited, to -
- The sudden urge to run off on poorly thought out adventures
- Delusions where one believes they are capable of stealing from Trolls and/or dragons
In order to limit the risk of developing one or more of these side effects individuals should limit their exposure to KILI to brief bursts of staring or sidelong glances."Honestly, it'd only be fair.

Summary
Fíli lived his life by an old dwarven proverb: when a fool drops a treasure, a wise man picks it up (it sounded better in the original khuzdul).
Bella Baggins never quite fit in the Shire. Perhaps she was made for the mountains, instead.

Summary
Bella Baggins knows better than to think Thorin actually just initiated an ancient hobbit courting ritual. He has no possible way to know what he's just done, and the middle of an important quest is not the time for her to be silly about it.
Thorin knows better than to think Bella actually meant to initiate a dwarven courting ritual. She's a hobbit, not a dwarf, and it would be dishonorable to act as though things were otherwise. Especially when she'd so recently turned him down.
(Bella and Thorin are both quite aware that the other has different customs, and they do their best to respect them while recognizing that their own peoples courting rituals are unknown to the other. This causes exactly as many problems as you might think.)
