- WHAT COUNTS AS A RAREPAIR?

Both. Both is good.

- POLYSHIPS?
HECK YES. "Rarepair" is the common term, but you are absolutely not limited to monogamous couples. (Polyships are sort of rare by default in most fandoms.)
