Because the ending the show gave us is Not Enough! A post-finale Haven fic exchange to rework Audrey, Nathan and Duke and co.'s story into All The Endings.

The idea with this exchange is to create a recipe for your ideal alternate finale or post-finale fic. We are using freeform tags to build a fic 'recipe', with elements like 'Duke doesn't die' and 'Paige remembers'. We are taking nominations for assorted freeform tags to add as these building blocks now!

-The "&" relationship tag: there's the odd one in the tag set, but this can also be covered by the function of selecting multiple characters in the same request. If you have a special desire to see the bond between a particular two characters focused upon in a gen fashion, but have selected other characters in the same request, put the additional information in the description.

-It is not possible to request a specific rating or kink. You may suggest these things in your prompt details, but they will be optional rather than required.

-You will get two or more requests, but you only need to write one of them. If you want to write more than one story, you can most certainly do that! You will only be able to directly post the first story from the AO3 form to fulfil your assignment, or using the ticky box provided under the regular posting form, however. Any further stories you will have to manually add to the collection "afterforever" in the "add to collection" field.

-I may, at some point toward the end of the challenge, make the requests list public for "madness" free-for-all spree of writing treat fics that do not have to match the 1000 word minimum limit.

-If participants (and non-participants, for that matter) who might be interested in Pinch Hitting, should the need arise, would like to indicate as much to me at any point during the fic exchange, I would be highly grateful. :) I have allowed a week between assignment deadline and collection going live should pinch hits prove to be needed.

-You do need an AO3 account to participate in this fic exchange. I have invites available for anyone who needs to sign up with AO3 for the purposes of participating! Email me to claim one.

Fics must be 1000 words of work.

Fics must be written specifically for this challenge and not posted elsewhere or author-revealed until the challenge is over.

Fics must fit all aspects of ONE of the requests of the recipient you were matched with, characters, relationships, freeform tags, etc. are not optional.

Any extra information added in the box is generally considered optional, ie. elaborate prompts/plotlines and extra details, but it will be severely frowned upon if your recipient lists triggers, warnings and squicks that they do not want to see and you include those things in your fic.

No character bashing. No ship bashing. In requests, or in fics. Bear in mind how the person assigned to write for you may have a more difficult time finding enthusiasm for the task if you spent your request listing how much you hate another of their beloved characters/ships and don't want to see it in the fic. Simply not selecting said character/ship in your request should be enough. If you hate something so much that you can't bear for it to even have a mention, stick to such brevity as "no Vince Teagues please".
