Summary
Chiaki goes to the aquarium and meets her real soulmate.
“I’m afraid of not being in my body.” Inori confesses her fear, the only thing that holds her back from the life that she wants.
“You mean dying?” Chiaki asks, looking confused. “We’re all supposed to be afraid of that.”
“No,” Inori says, before saying, “well, yes, but I meant that feeling of being outside of it. Not in my life, I guess.”
“You mean, not in control of what’s happening to you?” Chiaki asks, leaning in to speak into Inori’s ear. Her hot breath lands on Inori’s neck, making all her entire body tingle in a way that is not unpleasant, but is alien to Inori.
“Sometimes, I just fear that as I become me, there’ll be less of me.”
