She was beautiful, both inside and out; and yet, Katsuki hated her.
He hated her beautiful brown hair that shimmered with hints of auburn in the sun, he hated her wide, doe-shaped eyes similar to Izuku’s own, he hated her radiant smile that effortlessly lit up every room she was in–drawing every eye to her warmth. But most of all, he hated that she was a girl.
Katsuki hated that Ochako Uraraka was a girl, because he knew in his heart that if he was a girl, everything would have been different. Maybe then, Izuku would look at him with the admiration that shined in his eyes for Ochako.
It wasn’t Ochako’s fault though, he knew that. But knowing this truth didn’t stop his worn-out heart from aching or the bile billowing in his throat. His wretched envy for Ochako wouldn’t go away just because it was wrong.
