DC Dream Daddy Week is a fan event to celebrate DC Daddies.
The 2021 event runs from 15th November to 21st November.

when does the week run?
DC Dream Daddy Week will run from 15th November to 21st November in 2021. but the blog will be active leading up to those dates while prompts are organised.

how do I sign up?
no sign-ups necessary! all you have to do to participate is look at the prompts for their corresponding days and create something that fits! this includes fanfics, fanart, fanmixes, image manips… the list is endless. as long as you tag your content with #dcdreamdaddy, we’ll find it and reblog it on tumblr.

how are prompts picked?
prompts are suggested and selected by you! a request will go out for prompt submissions a few months before the event is scheduled. those suggestions will be collected and then a poll will be released for all of you to vote on them. anyone can vote. the highest voted prompts will be selected for the week.

where can I find the prompts?
once they’ve been selected, prompts will appear on this blog. an announcement will also be sent out on several platforms.

do I have to create something for every day and/or prompt?
definitely not! all you have to do to participate is create something for one of the prompts. beyond that, you’re welcome to create as much or as little as you like.

which ships are allowed?
this is an open shipping event — all Daddy/Daddy ships are welcome. if you need suggestions for Daddies to include, visit our Daddy-A-Day page. your ship must include two or more Daddy figures in a relationship. the nature of that relationship is up to you!

what if I have more questions?
if you have a question that hasn’t been answered here, feel free to ask the mods. we’ll try to get back to you as quickly as possible.

1. be excellent
this is an open DC Fandom event that everyone is welcome to participate in, and all ships are welcome. there is a zero tolerance policy for unsavoury behaviour.

2. works must include a Daddy
all works must be centered around a Daddy/Daddy ship! if you are looking for suggestions for characters to include, visit our Daddy-A-Day suggestions. works can be any rating, including explicit.

3. please use appropriate warnings and tags
please be mindful that this is an open event and will include explicit works — you should cultivate your interaction appropriately.

4. there will be a Collection works can be added to
simply navigate to the AO3 Collection and click “post to collection”. or in your works creation page, include DCDreamDaddy in the associations section. If we are unable to locate your cross-platform posting, we will share a direct link on this blog.

5. please use a “read more” for longer fics on tumblr
if posting on tumblr, please tag all entries with #dcdreamdaddy so that they can be reblogged. you are also welcome to mention us at @dcdreamdaddy to ensure we see your post. if we miss any posts, please send us a message to let us know!

6. please tag with #dcdreamdaddy on twitter
if posting on twitter, please tag with #dcdreamdaddy so that we can reblog your works across platforms.

7. we’re happy to accept late entries!
we understand that life happens, so just send us a message when you’ve posted it and we’ll reblog it; there are no hard deadlines.
