Everyone has marks. Not everyone agrees on what they mean— but the Unionist faction has a stranglehold on campus life. They control who gets official space and funding, and social activities that might lead to casual dating, rather than waiting for your Perfect Union, don’t make the cut.
Matt and Foggy aren’t okay with that. When the two meet outside an informally-run speed dating event, they hatch a plan to fight back, and come to their own conclusions about what their marks mean.

Matt shifts on his stool and fiddles with the rim of the glass in his hands, its contents drained to the dregs – liquid courage, an imperfect substitute for the real kind. The bar Matt chose for this meeting is outside the usual 5 block circuit they visit – upscale, where the patrons aren’t nose deep into their fifth beers by the middle of the afternoon, and the floors lack the sticky pull of Josie’s squeaky planks.
