a list of heated rivalry and game changer fics I love. there’s going to be a lot of social media fics too because I’m a slut for outsider povs. The main way I select fics to include in this collection is if I would remember and reread them again. Some are going to be literal crack and others, proper novels, but all of them are going to be super funny, interesting, depressing, heart wrenching and def memorable
for any authors that might see this, I love your writing! I appreciate all the work that goes into all these fics (especially when it comes to coding!). Your fics have made me cry and laugh within the same 10 minutes. I will forever be thankful that these works exist.

“Wait, Mr. Raiders fan,” Rozanov calls.
Constable Sullivan pauses.
“I get a phone call, yes?”
“Sure.” He pulls out his own phone. “Do you know the number?”
Rozanov nods. The numbers all come out in a rush, as though he’s memorized it in one long string and can’t think of any of them separately.
It’s a Montreal area code, the constable notes, as he types it in. As the phone rings, he puts it on speaker and asks Rozanov: “Who is it?”
“Shane Hollander.”
“Fuck off. Who is it really?”
Or: in the midst of the Rose breakup, the Raiders win a game in Montreal. Unable to do what he normally does after Montreal games, Ilya goes out to a club, gets super drunk, and ends up getting picked up by Montreal police for public intoxication. Sitting in a holding cell, the only number he can remember is Shane's.
