"This one," said Shuu, scrawling a name on a piece of paper
"Yousen?" said Tatsuya, taking it.
"Yeah," said Shuu. "Look it up. If you're going to transfer, that's the school to transfer to in your prefecture. It's got good academics, a national-level basketball club, and apparently the food they serve in the dorms is really good."
Kuroko Tetsuya moves to Akita with his family. So, a few months later, does Himuro Tatsuya.

Takao Kazunari is going to get his revenge on the Generation of Miracles - and Kuroko Tetsuya is going to come to Shuutoku to help him do it. Midorima Shintarou showing up the first day of practice isn't in their plans at all.
“So? Wanna crush the Generation of Miracles with me?”
Kazunari held out his hand, curled into a fist. Kuroko stared at it for a moment, expression wiped blank, before he smiled, brittle and sharp.
“Takao-kun,” he said, “I would like that very much.”
Their fists touched.

Summary
There was no such thing as a strong basketball team in Japan -- or so Kagami thought until his first day in Rakuzan High.
Kagami found out exactly what Akashi meant by fulfilling his responsibilities the next day in math class when he was woken up, painfully, by a sharp jab to the back of his neck.He sat up, looked behind him, and saw Akashi calmly putting away the pen he’d just used to stab Kagami awake.
This sequence of events repeated itself in geography, chemistry, history and Japanese literature. By lunchtime there was a very sore and ink-stained spot on Kagami’s neck where Akashi had poked him repeatedly with the end of a ballpoint pen.

Kuroko Tetsuya will show the Generation of Miracles the error of their ways... starting with the one on his team.
"Kaijou's not like Teikou was," Kise said.
"You're right," Kuroko said, taking care to form the words deliberately. "It isn't."
"But we won a lot at Teikou," Kise said after a moment's pause. "Wasn't it fun to win every match? You said you liked winning, that even though the way you play isn't a lot of fun for you, you play that way because losing is less fun."
Kuroko put the rest of his gear in his bag before he turned to face Kise. "At some point, winning became even less fun."
