What is MX Bingo?
MX bingo is a biannual fic writing challenge started by everydayishark in fall 2016 and inherited by dirtyretro & silentterror in summer 2018. The first edition was held in August 2016. The second edition was held in February/March 2017. The third edition was a rare pairings special edition, which ran in August/September 2017. The fourth edition was held in February/March 2018.

What is a writing bingo?
A writing bingo is exactly like a regular game of bingo, except instead of matching rows and numbers, various genres are written to complete a row and make bingo!

How do I sign up?
Fill out the sign-up form with your AO3 username, your social media handle, and which level and type board you’d prefer to write.

How do I post my work to the collection?
Post your work as you normally would. Under the Associations section of the Post New Work or Edit Work screen, you’ll see Post to Collections / Challenges. In the box, type in the subcollection name. Winter and summer subcollections have a unique name. *Posting directly to the collection can cause glitches. If you need help, contact us! Don't forget to add the 'Monsta X Bingo' tag~

How do I fulfill a square?
Squares are fulfilled by either writing a new fic or by writing a chapter for a fic started during bingo. Furthermore, you can combine genres in the same row to help you make bingo. Squares are not fulfilled by updating a chapter to a fic that existed prior to the start of bingo. A fic must be a minimum of 500 words to qualify as a fulfillment.

How do I win?
The goal is to complete a connecting row on your bingo board. You make bingo when you complete the required amount of fics in a row for your chosen board size/level. For example: a Level 1 board needs a row of 4 to make bingo! Rows can be diagonal, vertical, or horizontal and must connect.

What happens if I win?
Contact an admin! We’ll verify if you made bingo. If yes, you and your fics get a shoutout on our Twitter page!

I want to write more than just one row!
Great! Write all the prompts you'd like. Just make sure to get your bingo first! Shoutouts are only made for your first bingo win or if you fulfill all squares on the board.

I only want to write for a few squares.
We welcome everyone to join even if making bingo isn’t your goal, but we do require at least 2 fics to be written if you sign up.

Can I drop out?
Yes, but please let us know if you do!

1. Monsta X and No.Mercy pairings only, no OCs or x-reader pairings allowed.
2. Fics must be a minimum of 500 words. You are more than welcome to write more.
3. Fics do not have to be finished to fulfill a square. Submitting chapters is acceptable.
4. All genres in a row must be written in order to make bingo and win.
5. Use appropriate warnings and tags for sensitive themes.
6. Plagiarism will not be tolerated!
