Summary
Fives times Odysseus stares and lusts after his wife, thinking about wanting to sleep with her, and the one time he actually gets to do so.
There were other goddesses that his mind conjured when it came to Penelope, particularly with the warmth of wine flooding his body (it was simply the wine). Fair Artemis with her piercing stare, glowing and radiant Aphrodite…
He did not allow himself to linger on the comparisons — such things were dangerous — but he thought it difficult to be blamed for having them. Who could think otherwise, with the way her bright eyes shimmered like precious gems, lit from happiness and drink? How could he not notice how her curls glinted against the torchlight, woven with pearls that shone within her hair like stars in the night? How could he look away, when her gaze met his and her full lips curved upward, as if she had been hoping to find his eyes upon her?
How could he respond with anything less than a smile of his own? -

Summary
The skies were stormy tonight in Ithaca.
Lady Selene had not allowed for much of her light to seep through the dark clouds raging above, so it was the braziers and lit lamps that illuminated the beautiful form of his wife before him.
His Penelope stood before him, her golden curls spilling over her bare shoulders, the firelight dancing across the fair curve of her back. She wore nothing but the weight of her jewellery, gold at her wrists, gold at her ears catching the light of the lit braziers. But it was the new adornment that he had had made for her, that made his blood run hot: a thick collar of polished gold, its surface etched with his name in bold, unyielding script.
Belongs to Odysseus, King of Ithaca.

Summary
Hearing Leda’s agreement, Odysseus reached out and caressed Penelope’s smooth legs as another apology for being a cad. He had sneaked into her room to properly apologies and to make sure she did not hate him – but her aunt had interrupted him before he could say more than a ‘sorry’. In the wake of his fingers goosebumps appeared on her skin. Odysseus slowly shifted closer to caress more of her skin, from thighs to calves. Penelope shifted.
"Let me do my duty," Leda said and Odysseus realized that he didn't pay attention to the previous words. "I would l tell you all my brother-in-law told me."
