Summary
If there was one thing you could freely say about yourself, it was that you always found yourself behind someone.
The idea of someone being better than you comforted you because you could rely on them, but it also challenged you to become better.
But when you finally broke free from him and surpassed him, it meant nothing when your fatal error made you no better than before.
So what was the point? Did all your work amount to nothing? Was it all to just crumble to ashes?
Ask yourself this: Was leaving his side really worth it if you got nothing but suffering out of it?
And even as you left him, he still wants to help you. He wants to make you the best you can be even if it hurts him.
After all, that’s what friends do, right?
Subjugate your own feelings by setting them aside, because you live in a world where feelings inevitably get in the way.
