"What the fuck do you even want this shit for?" Jiang Cheng asks. "A grown man smoking weed for the first time to impress his crush has gotta be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, even coming from you! Especially since Lan Wangji is, like, the most straitlaced rule-follower in the world. He's more likely to call the cops on your ass than be impressed."
"First of all," Wei Wuxian says, "we are not going to smoke it."
"We?"
Wei Wuxian ignores the interruption. "Second of all, Lan Zhan is not my crush. He's my coworker that I'm bullying into being my friend and whom I happen to like a lot and maybe possibly want to bone a little."
Jiang Cheng rolls his eyes.
"Third of all, I'm not trying to impress him. I'm trying to—" Wei Wuxian waves his hand and wiggles his fingers, as though trying to conjure his next words out of thin air— "meet him at his level."-OR-
