Jaemin coughs, nervous, mentally lining the strings on Mark’s old Yamaha to their corresponding letter notes. Every Amateur Does Get Better Eventually, the mnemonic told her. Whoever made that clearly didn’t account for the tone-deaf bitches of this world.
And nevermind that she's performing for a panel of seasoned musicians. Renjun is sitting right across her, watching her every move as if she were concertmaster herself. Now would be the worst possible time for technical difficulties.

Renjun swallowed and nodded - watching Jaemin as he took a pen that belonged to Renjun. He stilled completely when Jaemin carefully held onto his chin, focusing on connecting Renjun’s freckles into little constellations. Renjun tried his best to not blush, but it was hard not to when Jaemin was so close and he felt the way Jaemin drew on his face, and the way his hand brushed over his cheeks while doing so.
