The man's demeanor changed completely. His cold expression melted into one of faux warmth, but it didn't reach his eyes. “Hi there, puppy,” the man cooed, talking to Seungmin like he was an infant. Seungmin furrowed his eyebrows at the man. What the fuck?
He opened his mouth to speak, but as soon as the first syllable left his lungs, a painful shock wracked through his body. It was sharp and sudden, a whimper leaving him involuntarily. He opened his mouth again to yell at the man, but the same result occurred.
He learned quickly. For whatever reason the man didn't want him to speak. He sat quietly and observed instead, waiting to see what would happen. He wanted desperately to rub at his neck where the collar dug in, but it was too tight.
“That's a good pup,” the man praised. It made Seungmin want to cringe, but he kept in control of himself, not wanting to be shocked again. Why was he treating him like a dog?

Jeongin blinked rapidly, trying to comprehend the situation. They had only just moved into their new dorm together a few weeks ago. Everything had been a whirlwind—unpacking, settling in, getting used to the new schedule and surroundings. He knew Chan had been stressed, more so than usual. It wasn't uncommon for the older man to take the burden of responsibility upon himself, especially when it came to making sure everyone else was comfortable. But this... this was something else entirely.
