DO I NEED AN AO3 ACCOUNT TO SUBMIT A PROMPT?
no, you don’t necessarily need an ao3 account to submit prompts.

you can submit your prompt(s) through our PROMPTING FORM.

WILL I NEED AN AO3 ACCOUNT?
yes, ideally you must have an ao3 account to participate in the event, since final works will be hosted on ao3.

once you have claimed a prompt, kindly wait for a confirmation message via email.

CAN I CLAIM MORE THAN ONE PROMPT?
yes, but you have to finish the fic for your first claimed prompt first.
once done, feel free to contact the admins should you want to claim another unclaimed prompt.

CAN I CLAIM A PROMPT AFTER THE SECOND WAVE CLAIMING PERIOD ENDS?
only if you finish your previously claimed prompts and contact us with a request for additional claims.
unfortunately, new writers will not be allowed to sign up after the end of the second wave claiming.

CAN I CLAIM MY OWN PROMPT?
yes, you can claim your own prompt.

IF I SUBMIT A PROMPT, DO I HAVE TO CLAIM ONE?
no, prompters and claimers/writers aren't obligated to be one and the same.
(prompters may or may not be a writer and vice versa)

CAN I SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE PROMPT?
yes, of course! we encourage you to submit as many prompts as you want to give our writers lots of options.

IS THERE A MINIMUM WORD COUNT?
for prompting, no minimum word count. exercise your imagination, go wild, get out of your comfort zone, be crazy!

FIRST CHECK-IN: 700 words
SECOND CHECK-IN: 1400 words
THIRD CHECK-IN: 1999 words

finally, we have no max number for final submission fics, but a minimum of 2000 words is required for all final works.
(the final output may be a standalone one-shot or chaptered fic so long as you finish it within the event period.)

WHAT IF I NEED TO DROP OUT?
it’s sad to see you go but sometimes life happens and our circumstances change, but if you really really feel the need to, do let the admins know ahead of time.

CAN I REQUEST FOR A WRITING EXTENSION?
in the event that you're committed to finishing this event with us and want to see it through the end even if you're busy, yes, we can give you extensions past the due date but please inform us on or before the day of final submissions and specify how much time you can estimate to finish your fic.
