Summary
Since the first time meeting Thalia, Reyna had been intrigued by her. Few demigods radiated as much power as Thalia, who Reyna had seen bring lightning and thunder to her command, a fierce warrior and fighter as well. Reyna had been a Roman praetor over Camp Jupiter while Thalia was a lieutenant for Artemis, both of them strong and skilled leaders. What began as interest and mutual respect quickly evolved into more. The years of letters and stolen moments throughout the chaos of demigod life had turned Thalia from a comrade and friend to a trusted confidant she was falling in love with.

Summary
Reyna is the youngest detective to ever claim the title of Sergeant. She's earned everyone's respect in the squad. Mostly, she can handle every situation pretty well; until she is teamed up with one particular detective who is known for not being able to be serious around the office and being pretty brazen. As they investigate a series of murders, Reyna learns a lot about Thalia Grace as she manages to surprise her while the investigation moves along. Troubles ensue, murderers are at large, bullets are fired.
I suck at writing at summaries buuuuut i promise the story is all better than this summary!!!!
tw: very very light mentions of murders/being shot. it's not very gruesome.

Reyna had never been sure what to think of soulmates, especially due to the fact that any pain you felt would be broadcasted to them, and vice verse. It seemed unfair to Reyna. She already had enough pain in her life, with ghosts and spirits, witches and pirates, wolves and Titans. But once her soulmate dies, Reyna doesn't care about the pain anymore. She even inflicts it upon herself, to feel something, anything. She never met her soulmate, but she sang them to sleep. Death. Whatever. Reyna's waiting for love that she thinks will never come.
Thalia never had time for soulmates. She felt their pain. She gave them pain. Her father, who is a god, left. Her mother was responsible for her brother, Jason, leaving. Now it was her turn. At 12 years old, she made her way into the world, the most dangerous place known to demigods like herself. Especially for a child of Zeus. Luckily, she finds allies in places high and low. Luke and Annabeth and Grover. They become her family, and she would die for them. She does die for them. Summary
Thalia Grace has a few problems in her life, and they all relate back to her job. First, she works retail, and it sucks. Second, people just love to steal on the days when she wants to relax. Third, there is that old lady who also insists that her twenty-year-old coupon is not expired. But, her biggest, ongoing problem is that her crush and manager, Reyna Ramirez-Arellano, is right there, but Thalia can't work up the courage to ask her out.
Percy Jackson has some issues of his own. He is getting ready to start his first day as an assistant manager at the same store as his cousin. As long as he can make a good impression on his first day, he'll be fine. He just has to forget the store that he left to avoid having to see the woman that he loves every day, especially since she is engaged, and it's not to him.
A story about life in retail and the adventures inside and outside the store.
