Intro:

Hello & welcome back to VICFEST (formerly known as Lucky 7 Victon!)—we're (still) a general fic fest for Victon and our goal is still to fill the AO3 tag with as many different Victon fics as possible.

We are currently running our second round and we welcome all writers and readers to participate in prompting, claiming, writing, and, of course, reading!

All pairings are welcome and encouraged as we hope to bring in [even more] fanworks for everyone's entertainment.

FAQ:

Prompting!
Q. Can we self-claim?
A. Of course! Just please remember to include a way for us to contact you with the prompt submission form.

Q. Can I submit prompts anonymously?
A. Yes, you can choose not to leave any contact information, but keep in mind we won’t be able to contact you if the author who chooses your prompt has a question.

Q. How many prompts can I submit?
A. As many as you want!

Claiming!
Q. How many prompts can I claim?
A. You can only write one story at a time, but more information for claiming will be available on the claims page and form.

Q. What if I miss the claiming period, but I want to write for the fest?
A. Please contact us, and we can try to help.

Q. What do I do if I claim a prompt and later change my mind and want to write a different story?
A. You will need to contact us so we can free the prompt you originally chose up for other authors to claim and assign you a new one.

Writing Specific!
Q. What if I miss a deadline for the fest or need an extension?
A. Contact us, and we can work with you!

Q. How many words do I need to send in for the check-in?
A. You will not be required to send a check-in with your word count. All we will ask for during the check-in period is your ao3 username, contact information, confirmation that you will be continuing to participate in the fest and confirmation of your prompt.

Q. Do I have to participate in check-ins?
A. Yes, you must respond to check-ins if you are writing for the fest. If you ignore repeated communication attempts, you will be automatically assumed to have dropped out of the fest and your prompt will be returned to the archive.

Q. What if I want to drop out?
A. We understand things can happen that will prevent you from continuing with the fest. Please just make sure you let us know as soon as possible so that we can free the prompt and stop spamming your inbox with check-ins!

Rules:

Please note: The rules for the fest apply to both submitted final works and submitted prompts. The moderators reserve the right to remove your prompt from the archive (and/or final work from the collection) if we feel it violates the fest's rules in any way. Please read the rules carefully before submitting prompts and/or submitting your final work. Thank you!

1. No underage or non-con/dub-con. No bestiality. We do not allow content that features relationships between illegal age gaps (i.e. minors and adults). The common rules for standard fic fests apply.

2. As this is a Victon fest, you are welcome to prompt/write for any Victon ship. Victon/non-Victon ships (e.g. Seungwoo/Seungyoun (X1/Solo), Hanse/Xiao (UP10TION), etc.) are allowed to be written as side pairings only.

3. The minimum word count for the final submission is 1000 words. There is no maximum word count.

4. The main form of official communication for the fest is e-mail, please provide an e-mail address you use frequently. All participants must respond to check-ins. Reminders about check-ins will be made via the official twitter account.

If you do not respond to our e-mails, we will contact you via twitter. If you fail to respond to official communication more than two (2) times, you will be assumed to have dropped the fest and your prompt will be returned to the archive.

5. If you are unable to make a deadline (whether submission or check-ins), please contact us as soon as possible. We are flexible and will work with you to make reasonable accommodations.
