My dear Kurenai was totally forgotten and put to the side ever since part 1, and the fact that they didn’t know what else to do with her other than having her pregnant, disappointed me so much.
Not to take away from the beautiful aspect of motherhood, but even that one isn’t properly explored.
So one thing I knew I wanted to make for sure was to explore her multifaceted character: a mother, a sensei, a ninja.
Plus, her unexplored specialty in genjutsu, hello?
Another great wasted potential that I wanted to bring back to front.
And I’m really glad I managed to do it, all in the context of her relationship with her student. Because Hinata deserves love, too! 💜
Like I said, I may not like certain aspects of her character; but once upon a time she was my favorite. So I wanted to show her the love I never got to, until now.
