    1. yayyyy!! Also I read all comments you left here in chapter one tryna look for a theory but still nothing comes to mind! Also makes sure no one asks Apollo abt Poseidon cuz hes a god of truth i dont think hed lie even to prtect himself. Ands also i just know apollo is gonna regret chosing the name lester for his humansona as soon as we get to toa lol

      1. Haha, I try my best to not spoil future stuff, let alone the og twists I mixed in there, tho its hard sometimes. Apollo being there is...a bit of a ripple effect consequence, so to speak. ANd that's al I'll say.

Hmm, good point. Yeah, that...might become an issue at some point? But also, keep in mind, truth can be a very subjective tihng. Ah, we'll just have to wait and see. And as a treat for your effort, I'll give you this. Him being the god of truth is...kinda part of the reaso he's involved. Aaand I'll leave it at that, hehe

Being upfront here: TOA is not going to happen in this. For a variety of reasons. One bieng that I pretty much hated the series/how it was done. Another is that gods becoming fully mortal is not something that works in this continuity, bc if thats a tihng that presents issues that Rick did not consider, when it comes to dealing with divine enemies. And also, its just so far away, and the fic is supposed ot focus on Percy and what he's up to, and while I'm fine with doing an outsider pov every now and then to check up with what else is going on, that will remain to be the case. I dn't even think I'll do HOO, tho some of its characters will appear. Heck, I'll be a lucky guy if I even remotely manage do write thru all five books timeline-wise, thats prob gonna take years so...eh.
(also well at least Apollo managed to choe a name that is not a dead giveaway unless certain other ppl I could name here, so there's this to his credit?)

        1. Ok thats interesting info, and yea Apollo chosing that name is only a giveaway to people who read toa! (and i know u wont do toa in this fic, but why dont you like it?? probably my fav series). But i do like apollo being the god of truth being one of the reason hes involved. teories fermenting....

          1. True, the name is jsut an in-joke of sorts as a clue to the ppl who were looking out for these.

Well, for a viety of reasons. I'll try to keepp it sohrt and to the point:
            - The general writing quality is IMO not even rometely up there with the other series. The pacing fels very stretched out and slow (it took me forever to get thru these books). Where the og books were actually funny the humor in thee is just so...meh, and sometimes outrild childish in situations where its really not applied. And so on
            - The storyline feels quite dull, the villains are one-dimensional, uninteresting and with little form to them. I couldn't care less and the stakes don't feel earned. I mean, I get this is hard after Kronos and Gaia but...some roman ex-rulers wannabe gods who want...what even was their goal? IDK man.
            - the way how the OG characters are involve.d Many of them are OOC to some extent, stuff is retconned, and they are constantly kept out of the picture so Apollo and MEg can get spotlight, sometimes in ways that feel very forced/cringey
            - Every book has the same basic plot (save one of the oracles/reclaim it form the wannabe gods) Sure, there are some variaitons but...yeah
            - And finally, probably the thing that bugs me most: the enormous amount of wasted potential in regards to the premise of a mortal Apollo. Like, the idea was to have him live the regular mortal experience and such. But what he gets is at best, the demigod experience. Like come on, he even gets a "mortal identity" but what is he doing with that? NOTHING! It takes him 3 chapters to wind up in Camp. He has no life as "LEster", everyone calls him/knows he is Apollo anyways. There's no point to it all. Yes, he ha sno godly powers but thats it really. And thats such a huge disappointment IMO.

Its really interesting cause the series seems to polarize a lot IMO. Most ppl either seem to love or hat eit, there seems to be little in-between

Have fun theorizing, then. The truth will revealed in due time.
