I feel like this is a great stopping point; short and sweet 💚 I died at "I won't ever be afraid of annoying you" lmao. Amazing work, I've loved following along with it! 💚💚💚
thank you very much! from here, there are honestly too many ways to go with it. for example, when azula gives zuko his ultimatum, it's possible that jet's more aggressive approach could convince zuko to side with aang early, but it's just as possible that he'd fail like iroh did. and if he does fail, would he keep his promise to iroh and follow zuko in hopes of dragging him back into the light despite how much he hates what he's becoming? or would he give up on him in a fit of rage and discard his promise to instead stay by iroh's side and prevent him from being imprisoned? would jet let iroh send him away to join the avatar? and in any case, it would be impossible for jet's presence not to cause ripples that end up changing things here and there, i think. this is what i mean when i say rewriting canon would be a herculean task.... i still can't help but think about it, though.
