Been trying to do small typo cirrections for fics as I read them. I'll comment properly once I fully finish the chapter.
'Sawsbuck began shuffling its hooves in place as its legs glowed Psychic Type Energy.'
Should there be a 'with' before 'psychic'?
Final edit:
I had heard he gets a tyrunt, but didn't realize it was an alpha. That's pretty rad. And those ice maneuvers into Ice Punch was also pretty cool. Also I don't know how Mina flailing her arms erratically can come off as so appealing. I think this fic singlehandedly turned me into a Mina fan. I've been sort of intimidated by how fast the story grew that it's been slow for me to start reading again.
As always, thank you for being the captain of the typo patrol. When I finalized the alpha mechanics I asked myself what would be the gnarliest one to have, and once Tyrantrum entered my mind it did not leave.
I'm definitely having some fun with Mina, but the next arc largely ditches her for a good chunk of it. And dude, shit just keeps getting gnarlier from here. I've been thinking of slowing the pace down a bit cuz it's at like a breakneck speed right now but I'm still unsure about it. Training chapters are cool but there are so many things I want to get to (fights specifically) that I just want to get to them lmao
Honestly, the only reason to slow down is to set things up for later. Lulls and slow periods are in service to the hype moments. As long as you give them proper breathing room then training can be done off screen. If the training itself isn't interesting to read under its own merits I'd say it would probably be more of a detriment to the story.
So if you want to write training, then decide what appeal you want the training to have. Slice of life cozy stuff, inspiring training montage to build hype for future battles, interesting explorations of battle theory and character philosophies... And if you don't have anything appealing about training you want to write about then just skip it. You still have to balance slow moments with hype moments, but the slow moments still need to have their appeal. So its okay to do training off screen to get to things you actually find interesting.
