Ough, the first few days (and honestly the first few years) after Splinter's mutation are always so stressful and more than a little heartbreaking to think about - he just underwent a horrifying transformation, lost everything he was, and gained four new sons that he can barely take care of! Poor Splinter really is doing his best here, though the situation is awful...
Still, him snuggling with the tots was absolutely adorable!!! And I'm so glad he found Donnie, in the end. Splinter stumbling across the sewers as a place to live because one of the kids fell in is something I never thought of, but it's such a cool idea! Ah, this is such a wonderful opening chapter!!!
