a big theory I have about Bruce is that Bruce Wayne is smooth and communicative because he was raised to navigate ““Society””, but as Batman, a role for which there’s no script, he gets all tangled in the interpersonal parts.
I didn’t really have the occasion to get into it with this fic since they’re almost exclusively their civilian identities, but that DOES mean that Bruce can actually have a conversation about feelings!
