Really enjoyed this chapter, the forced "get along" adventure was funny at first, but I liked how it slowly turned serious and emotional. Esper and Lilith finally calling each other out felt needed, and that cliff scene genuinely shocked me (Lilith, WHAT 😭). Esper floating on her own was such a cool reveal, and the basilisk brothers were a nice surprise too.
I had a question though, did Lilith know Esper would float, or was that a risky guess that almost went wrong? Also, should we be worried about Luz after that conversation with Eda? That part stuck with me.
Thank you, I am glad you liked the chapter! It's the start of Esper's mentorship under Lilith. I figured more basilisk would be fun since we only get to know one.
Lilith made an educated guess based off of some things she saw in Echoes of the Past! Yes! Since Luz is conflicted in wanting her best friend to stay on Earth with her or wanting her to live on the Boiling Isles with other witches.
