Comment on The One Where Blaine Doesn't Wear Parachute Pants

    I had to split this up because AO3 wouldn't allow me to post it as one. I concluded it was spam.

    Maybe if I just break down the story into emotions:

    * Hilarious joy inducing tears
    - The Quarterly DAWG Meeting. My butt always wriggles in anticipation of this chapter. All the interactions between the Warblers are gleefully hilarious.
    Sometimes I just read only this chapter just for Warbler Wes and Warbler Trent ("Thank,Allah") and abolishment a cappella. The Warblers are so #extra
    that I can't with them. It makes me laugh and my eyes water every time. Rebel WarblerBlaine is amazing to behold.

    * Heartwarming
    - The Other Hummel. Every word between Burt and Blaine was funny and so realistic (Yes, realistic that Blaine is a genie living in a french coffee press).
    "I once sat through ten straight hours of Project Runway with Kurt, who had something to say about every outfit sewn. So, I know how to be
    patient.” crack me up every time. I always feel a surge of laughter and love - it is heartwarming how great a Dad, Burt is.

     

    * Amazed and grateful of your talented writing
    - You've managed to capture the joy, absurdity, youth, vitality, romantic nature, people pleaser, humorous, and enthusiasm of Disney prince Blaine Anderson.
    One short chapter but it was everything. Superb and wondrous. Every word was the best - so that leaves me to select my favourite dialogue:

    "We went to a burger place!" Blaine blurted out and both Hummel men snapped their attention to him in disbelief.
    "Holy crap, Kid!" Burt shouted a stunned look on his face. "You didn't even last three hours!" - I can't stop laughing and crying tears of joy. He is just so sweet and
    absurd at the same time.

     

    "I may have done that on my own," Blaine admitted. "You seemed so stressed lately. So, I thought you might feel better if your room was clean."
    "Oh," Kurt breathed out, feeling his stomach flutter. "Thank you."
    Blaine smiled. "You're welcome.
    Burt alternated looking at both boys as they continued to smile at each other in silence. "Are you two...?" - the romance is so close to cannon Klaine.

     

    "I recently acquired a Tempur-Pedic mattress, and it's like sleeping on a cloud." - Unforgettable how Blaine genieBlaine can Blaine

     

    "And I expect to see you at Friday night dinners," Burt continued as if Blaine hadn't spoken. - Burt, you warm my heart and I feel need a hug now.

     

    It didn’t falter even as his canaries suddenly began to sing a rousing rendition of Walking on Sunshine to the bemusement of everyone in the room.
    “Does this happen a lot?” Burt asked, eyes trailing after the yellow birds flying around the room. "More often than you'd think," Kurt replied dryly.
    - Disney prince Blaine managed to be more Blaine than genieBlaine could ever Blaine.

     

    I sincerely hope this manages to describe to you how much I love this story. I want to thank you for your humour, talent, passion, selflessness, time, and for giving me so much happiness.
