And even more questions!! What kind a Wish Land is this-Cora's wishes? Gah! I was heartbroken to read that Belle had starved to death-glad Regina was dead though! Curiouser and curiouser...diving into this splendid rabbit hole!
In season 6, Emma accidentally makes a wish that comes true and is living in a world where Regina was defeated before Emma was born. She's a princess, Henry's still her son, life is great. Regina shows up to help her get her memory back. She also kills people in the Wish Realm under the theory they aren't real--although the Robin from that world comes back and turns out to be real enough.
Anyway, Rumple had been imprisoned and forgotten this whole time. Regina got him out and told him Belle hadn't really died--but she had died of starvation in Regina's dungeons because the Charmings lacked the basic sense to check Regina's castle for prisoners. Rumple was not happy. I wasn't either, although I suppose I have to be impressed by the way the show always finds something even worse to do to Rumbelle. This fic is my attempt to fix things.
