Both versions of this story captivate me, and you keep coming up with different perspectives for our consideration. It really is quite a feat to pull off, and yet this works..Kurosawa would be proud.
Very happy McGee found the link and sent it off to not just CIA Agent Preston, but his supervisor. All that misery they allowed to keep happening to all those law enforcement officers, for an advantage that was never going to come to fruition. Preston needs to get his ass kicked big time.
I wonder if Jeanne realizes how rare it is for Tony to actually talk to someone, to tell the whole truth to someone, and how much faith he is putting in her with this behavior. It is pretty significant, and I'm betting Jeanne is discerning enough to see it. At least, I really hope that to be the case.
