I don't really get the issue. Why would anybody BUY a fanfic when they can find it for free on AO3? That just seems stupid (as in, that they would do that).
The seller wouldnt advertise that it's free on ao3 though, so the buyer would presume theyre paying for a fic produced only to be sold :/
