Thank you for your feedback. Knowing my tendency to embark on unnecessarily tedious explanations I tried to minimize 'character-study parts', so I'm very sorry to learn that N's behavior can be seen as nonsensical. Maybe I went from one extreme to another. His teammates are not yet fleshed out, because (as I complained somewhere) manga itself has plenty of characters and to properly present them one needs time and pace, so not all is lost here =)
Sasuke is a difficult character for me - mangaSasuke I disliked since maybe the first time he was introduced, I understand his reasons and his motivation, I even accept them, I just don't care. His are actions of an offended child who's unwilling to look even a bit outside his small world and who's lashing out at anyone and anything. He's marvelously inadequate next to most of the manga characters who managed to grow up. Having S in this story was a request (more like a threat or an order), and I needed to morph him into someone who won't be sticking like a sore thumb. My fault maybe is that I decided against writing his year in Konoha in detail, but that way I'd probably write about the guys actually travelling back in time already having children D: I can't really redesign S's whole character all of a sudden, so I took the trait that's been clearly shown throughout the whole manga - his almost sick obsessiveness - and wrote all changes according to it.
(Please bear in mind that everything above is just my own private opinion and I have no illusions that it's some ultimate truth)
Thank you again for your comment, it really helped me.
