      Oh, doomed ships are so my thing as well. It's so, so unfortunate - and often inadvertent! I can't reasonably claim that I didn't see this one coming, though. I do have a degree in History... :D

      I completely agree - I think anyone who denies the depth of their connection perhaps isn't looking at the evidence, really. Sure, it may not have been quite as...close...as most fanfic puts it, but they were certainly far closer than most Queens and Prime Ministers.

      And I'm right there with you. ;)
