    I've literally just gone on a site skin shopping spree and discovered you can do some very exciting things with them! When I have a moment at my PC and it's not almost 4am for me, I'll delve a bit deeper. But thank you for the advice nevertheless!

      When it comes to hiding works based on tags with a site skin, sadly it works similar to muting a user so you usually still want to actually filter out the main things that you don't want in your search results (since they show up still, you just hid them from your view) it's super useful though for hiding triggers or less common tags that you always forget to filter out. (I actively make site skin tutorials for this kind of thing. Lmk if you ever need help!)

      I'm pretty much exclusively monolingual, which made it helpful to add in a blurb to the CSS section like

      .blurb:has(dd.language:not([lang="en"])) {
      display: none;
      }

      so i get all English fics in all of my searches without having to manually go in and filtering. I'd recommend fishing around Tumblr to see what little bits of of the site you can poke and prod at. Another favorite of mine is

      p.muted.notice {
      display: none;
      }

      to mute that banner reminding you that you have people blocked and where to go to find out who

          Depends on if your browser supports multiple selectors or not (CanIUse lets you find out and even shows you edge cases, EXTREMELY useful for CSS development) but may I introduce you to Firefox's MDN document database, which generally tells you if the feature is normally available and how to use it: pseudo-class selector :has and pseudo-class selector :not.

            I had hoped for a ready made code example 😉 as I don't have any CSS knowledge 😄, but especially the Firefox link is great! I've already bookmarked it and will have a deeper look into CSS once I have a bit of time on my hands.
            On the CanIUse site I found that I can use ":has()", but unfortunately not how.

                I only had a quick look yesterday and didn't spot an example that would immediately answer my question, but as I said I'll take a closer look as soon as I have some time to delve into it.
                I'll probably spend quite a few hours on learning some CCS basics next weekend... 😄
