Fantastic chapter! (Although! Darn you Bryce! LOL I loved all the banter with Cole and Sarah watching through her fingers. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Cole Barker was the thing that surprised me most about this chapter. I have a love/hate relationship with his arc--I haaaaaaaaaaated Beefcake and consider it one of the worst episodes of the series, save for Chuck's hilarious passing out, but I *love* Lethal Weapon because I really enjoyed Cole taking the mentorship role. If they hadn't plot boomerang'd Sarah for that entire arc, I'd consider Beefcake/Lethal Weapon two of the most effective episodes of the show, but alas. Anyway, when I needed a British athlete, he just seemed to fit for the role (and imagining Jonathan Cake in a Speedo was certainly no hardship, let me tell you), and then he ended up being one of my favorite characters to write. Go figure. :)

I agree with you about Beefcake. Well, maybe I don't haaaaaate it but I don't particularly like it either. And I like Lethal Weapon for the same reasons. That opening scene, when Chuck has the blankets pulled up to his chin, no latter how many times I've watched it, I still expect him to pop up fully dressed as soon as Sarah leaves the room. Your version of him is definitely a favorite part of this story.
