yo, holy fuck. i was here marveling on the characterization, the bits and pieces you give of each phantom thief that manage to show their personalities perfectly and how they all mesh and stand out at the same time, and then the parts with akechi- god, they absolutely blew me away. i literally forget sometimes how prideful he is, and how that’s the last thing he has, and you... like, holy shit, you hit the nail on the fucking head. especially the ending banter between him and akira. i can’t thank you enough for not making this easy. for not making them forgive him immediately. his relationship to all of them is ugly and complicated and hard but from this, ive never trusted anyone more to show how and if they can be mended LOL. i know this is getting long but i’m just so, so blown away by your akechi. and seriously your ability to thread humor through even some really hard-hitting scenes is insane lol, especially through futaba?? i really get a kick out of how you write her in particular.
AND OKAY SORRY THIS IS LONG AS HELL ALREADY BUT THIS SHIT ALL KNOCKED ME OUT: “Joker looks at Akechi, who stares back. He’s long lost the reptilian sneer; the dull intensity in his eyes now is cornered prey – livestock in a slaughterhouse – game at the wrong end of a gun – nothing left to lose.”

and i started c+ping parts from his whole dialogue with the PT (especially the parts where he calls them out on their “”justice”” and the inconsistencies and if they’re teally doing what’s right- GOD, GO TF OFFF) and akira at the end but it was ending up being. The Whole Thing so um. loz. in conclusion. holy fucking shit, this is more than i could have even expected and i can’t WAIT to see where it goes jfc

it's like super important to me that if akechi's gonna get a redemption arc (and he fucking SHOULD) then it's gotta be messy and complicated and nobody's gonna really know how they feel about him? they all seem willing to forgive him but......not right away? too much shit's happened for it to be so quick and there's too many factors to be considered especially after they saw him in the engine room, he's like 10x more raw and hurt after that so it's. very delicate haa
