One of my favorite aspects of the show is the degree to which these two take care of each other--even amidst mass protest. They're both so debilitatingly self-sufficient, and yet they've learned to fight their way in with each other. I think it's beautiful to watch, and one of the reasons this story came into being involved the opportunity to explore how hard and to what extent they would fight for and care for each other when both placed in a dire situation.
